Eradicate oil spills biologically

With its introduction of Biozyme OT8, Blue Diamond has harnessed the powers of nature to clean up oil stains. Active ingredient of this liquid preparation is a colony of micro organisms of a type that occurs naturally in the wild around tar pits and oil shales. It literally eats oils and other heavy hydrocarbons, breaking them down into harmless water and carbon dioxide. It is ideal for removing unsafe and unsightly stains caused by oil spills in refineries, cutting fluid leaks in machine shops, fuel drips in bunded storage areas or escapes of motor engine oil. It works on most hard surfaces, including paving and concrete.

Biozyme OT8 is quick and easy to apply. Simply pour it over the stained area (one litre is sufficient to treat about 5 square metres), agitate with a broom for a couple of minutes and leave it to do its work during the next 15 to 20 minutes. Finally wash the surface with a bucket of water; pressure hosing is neither necessary nor recommended.

There is no problem attached to releasing or washing the solution to drain in a controlled manner. The process continues working, gobbling up the nasty hydrocarbons and converting them into environmentally friendly residues. Meanwhile the treated surface is returned to its original pristine condition.

Easily gaining approval in COSSH assessments and surpassing current environmental legislation, Biozyme OT8 deals with contamination in a truly responsible fashion. Even the half litre, one litre and five litre containers it comes in are made of recyclable plastic, identified with a paper label. The product is also pleasant to use, having an attractive aroma derived from the essence of pineapple pips among its ingredients.
