Investment in the latest inspection and measurement technologies allows Blue Diamond to quickly and accurately inspect and measure all components for which it is responsible.

This multi-sensor, co-ordinate vision system from Baty International compares the measurements obtained from the component with the dimensions and tolerances on the engineering drawing, to produce a detailed report showing any dimensions that are outside the dimensional tolerances. It can also be used to create 2D engineering drawings by scanning an existing component, particularly useful if the part has been re-engineered or the original drawings have been lost or damaged. The latest investment in January 2008 sees the addition of a PolySpek F machine one of the new series of multi-CCD,multi-optic desktop spectrometers from Arun Technology, the originators of CCD based metals analysis.
